Taki Tachibana
Taki Tachibana is the male protagonist of Kimi no Na wa. He is a 17-year old high-school student who lives a busy lifestyle as he juggles his part-time job at an Italian restaurant, spends fun times with his friends, and hopes for a future in architecture. His lifestyle takes a turn when he starts switching bodies with a high-school girl named Mitsuha Miyamizu in his dreams, who wished to live as a handsome boy in Tokyo.
SAYAKA NATORI
Sayaka Natori is a close friend of Mitsuha and Tessie. She is a gentle and quiet girl who is also a member of the broadcast club in high school. Sayaka is a calm and very kind girl who has a level-headed demeanor. She is also quiet and somewhat nervous, vehemently denying her attraction to Katsuhiko. She is very supportive of Mitsuha and shares her resentment of living in Itomori.
Tsukasa Fujii
Tsukasa Fujii is a side character in Kimi no Na wa.. He is one of Taki Tachibana's closests friends and is often concerned about him whenever Mitsuha Miyamizu embodies him. Despite teasing Taki, he tries to support him as much as he can. At the end of the movie, he is married to Miki Okudera.
Miki Okudera
Miki Okudera, commonly referred to as "Okudera-senpai", is a side character in Kimi no Na wa.. She is one of Taki Tachibana’s colleagues who work at the Italian restaurant, and they have a mutual crush on each other for the first part of the movie. When Taki Tachibana was inhabited by Mitsuha Miyamizu's spirit, Okudera seemed to think that 'Taki' was cute, and went with him to try and find Mitsuha. She reluctantly enjoys smoking, citing that she is unable to stop.

MITSUHA MIYAMIZU
Mitsuha Miyamizu is the female protagonist of Kimi no Na wa. She is a 17-year old high-school student living in Itomori, and she serves as a priestess in her family's shrine. Mitsuha feels dissatisfied with her small-town life and due to the strained relationship she has with her stern father and the criticism she gets, she wishes to live as a handsome boy in Tokyo. Her wish was eventually partially granted as she would start switching bodies with Taki Tachibana in her dreams.
Katsuhiko Teshigawara
Katsuhiko Teshigawara is a close friend of Mitsuha and Sayaka, as well as an expert with explosive machinery. During the main story, it's pretty obvious that Tessie had a crush on Mitsuha. He, along with Sayaka, were the only people that helped Mitsuha with her plan to save the town people from the comet.
Shinta Takagi
Shinta Takagi is a side character in Kimi no Na wa.. He is one of Taki Tachibana's closest friends who is optimistic and always jumps to the rescue of his friends. Along with Tsukasa Fujii, Takagi first appeared in the movie when Mitsuha Miyamizu (in Taki's body) heard them calling over to eat lunch.
Yotsuha Miyamizu
Yotsuha Miyamizu is a side character in Kimi no Na wa.. She is Mitsuha's younger sister, an elementary-school student, and a member of the Miyamizu family, where she participates in rituals for her family's shrine, including, but not limited to, creating kuchikamizake as a shrine maiden. Yotsuha is very level-headed, smart and independent for her age, with sharp instincts.
